How to write a thank you email after interview: tips

1. Use a clear email subject line.

Sending an email that says “no subject” will reflect poorly upon you. So, ensure you add value with a thank you email after interview subject line that clearly states its purpose.

Appropriate subject lines for a thank you email include:

Close your letter by expressing your enthusiasm for the job opportunity. Try to convey that learning more about the role made you even more excited because it feels like such a good fit.

Also, you want to keep the dialogue between you and the company open by offering to “discuss matters further” or that you’d “be happy to answer any questions.” This may encourage the interviewer to reach out to you if they’re on the fence about making a hiring decision.
