Dear Ms. Buxton,
I’m writing in response to your ad for a Training and Development Manager. As an experienced corporate trainer I’ve conducted front line management and management skills courses and contributed to the development of new training programs.
With over a decade of experience in human resources most recently in training and development my skills have been honed and I’m ready for the next level of responsibility. I’ve been involved first-hand in the introduction of new training classes that have had an immediate impact on productivity and employee satisfaction. By conducting surveys and assessing feedback an accurate picture of training needs was compiled and I assisted in turning that information into action.
My first experience as an instructor was a baptism by fire when an instructor was taken ill and I was asked to step in. With only a short time to study the instructor notebook I conducted the course successfully. The feedback from the course attendees was positive and I felt like I’d found a home.
With my experience and education including a bachelor’s degree in human resources I believe I’m the right candidate to head your Training and Development Department. I’ve attached my resume for your review and consideration and look forward to hearing from you to discuss this mutually beneficial opportunity. Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Tia Petersen
