I have five years of work experience managing a group home for developmentally disabled adults along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. The group home I currently manage has ten full-time residents whose functional level range from severe to moderate mental retardation. My responsibilities include meeting with case management team members for monthly planning and updating of ITPs and then ensuring staff are following them for each resident. I supervise 18 staff who work round the clock shifts with two working at each time.I have terrific understanding of proper documentation and ensure that staff complete it each day. I understand how to provide assistance to residents to ensure their safety and health. I design plans to help them integrate more fully into the community.
