Dear Mr. Pinciotti,
I was so excited to read that El Vino is seeking a prep cook. As an aspiring chef being able to work in a kitchen under such a famous chef would be extremely beneficial. I am currently completing my Culinary Arts degree and am working as a prep cook in a national chain restaurant. My goal as a prep cook is always to support the chef by prepping food items collecting needed utensils and generally following directions.
I work very well in high-stress fast-paced conditions as kitchens generally are. I view my role as that of a learner as well as an invaluable support staff and work well even with constructive criticism.It is my dream to become a famous Italian chef and opportunities to work under such a master as Chef Batali do not often arise. I am hardworking dedicated and responsive and I take pride in my work. I always strive for perfection in food prep duties. El Vino and Chef Batali would find me to be a terrific choice for the prep cook position.
